The Sweetest Blog Post Ever

>> Wednesday, February 23, 2011

I will by buying these seeds from Cubits in a month or two... Please come spring!

Well if you love Organic Gardening you should really get to know Cubits' etsy shop. She is one of the nicest people EVER. ever. seriously. and she made a blog post about me that makes me so happy. She got a few tie die shirts from me for a midwife friend. Twins! I can't imagine having twins- one child makes me feel like I will never sleep again. (well I have two, but i mean when you have one baby).
Please comment on her blog post HERE. What a beautiful blog she has. It makes me want to buy some organic fabric and garden supplies. I guess just about everything makes me want to buy fabric though...

My next tie dye adventure did not go well with Danielle- but we sure do have fun. What is it about tie dye that makes kids want to just throw color around all over everything- Danielle loves it and comes out with a shirt that is a kind of puke brown color and wants to wear it EVERY DAY. now we've restricted ourselves to just two colors at a time, and she just douses hers and the table and, if possible, the floor around where she is working.
It makes me crazy! and it is hilarious.
Danielle had an art project today. Underneath the kitchen table. With a permanent Marker. my little artist.
My mom informs me that the payback from my childhood hasn't even begun yet (and this NOT the first marker adventure). How am I so bad at hiding markers? I can never find one...
I'm so excited for going outside with Danielle and working in the yard so she doesn't color on the floor underneath the table. I was IN THE SAME ROOM and I somehow didn't notice. I guess I was just mesmerized by the dishes and Mark emptying the cupboards. Why do child locks only work on adults? I still don't understand it. Soon all that creative energy can be spent working in the dirt :-)

what do you do with your creative energy?

I was featured in the Etsy Email. I am so honored I could die. As a matter of fact I did just die a little bit. On January 18, 2011 I was in the etsy email. thank You Emily you are my new best friend ever. My shop has been doing better than usual lately and it makes me want to cry with happiness. Maybe soon I will be able to afford our rock and roll medical school lifestyle.
I know you can find the info about the email on craftcult (which I didn't know before)

What an Honor

>> Monday, January 10, 2011

I am very honored to be the featured seller in the selection perfection treasury challenge. It is a team I joined and my sister is our fearless leader. :-) If you win the challenge you can be the next featured seller which I totally love. I am copying the post but you can enter by clicking HERE

Welcome to our new Seller Treasury Challenge. Here's how it works: you may pick ANY item out of ClaireandJanae's shop and build a Selection Perfection Treasury featuring it. Please feature the item you select somewhere in the top 3 rows, not the "alternate" fourth row.

ClaireandJanae is featured this week because her treasury with LovesGarden was awesome. Also, she tagged her entry properly, which many people forgot to do! (Oops! Please tag things this week!)

Here are the rules/details for the challenge:

1. Each treasury must feature 6 Selection Perfection team members.
2. Anyone with an Etsy account can join in on the fun, whether they are on the team or not. It is not mandatory for the team members. You may enter multiple times if you wish.
3. Please follow our team blog if you enter.
4. Please tag the Treasury: "SelectPerfect"
5. Please tag the Treasury: "SPChallenge"
6. Please tag the Treasury: "ClaireandJanae"
7. Please include the words "Treasury Challenge" in the treasury title and include a link back to this blog entry in your comments; this is Very important, so please read it again! (Some people have been forgetting this.)
8. Come back to this blog and include a link to your treasury in the comments section of this blog entry.
9. This challenge ends January 13, 2011 at midnight, CST.
10. The winner will be the Featured Seller for the next Seller Treasury Challenge.

Good Luck and have fun! Convo me with any questions through Etsy.

- Rachelle

Breaking Up the Social Networking Way

Breaking Up the Social Networking Way

I was so excited to be featured on a blog- about breaking up. Because really, I feel like part of my "shop vision" is that people should be able to break up more humanely. Like giving a card. I moved less than a year ago and some people at my church never invited me to do anything or even really talked to me. I felt a little bad but really, these are not people who I would be friends with probably anyway. We are just not a good match. I just wanted to tell them I think they are great and all but I'm Ok with us not being close because they would just make me feel guilty about who I am and I would make them feel a little less holy.

OK the blog post is more about not following a million blogs- which is why i don't make it necessary to follow my shop blog to win the treasury challenge. I follow lots of blogs. One of them mostly rants about parenting and how terrible Obama is. She lives in the south and seriously no giveaway is worth her thoughts. This blog post is inspiring me to do a little pruning.

Thanks so much for including my cards!
I have a feeling I should follow this blog...

Sex and The City Stickers

>> Friday, May 21, 2010

Well one fantastic seller gave me the idea to make Sex and The City Stickers. They are inspired from my Keep Calm and Carry On Stickers. She asked that I spell it "Carrie" after Carrie Bradshaw.
I have to admit I have never actually watched the show.
What a great idea!
Laurie featured me on her blog. It was so nice of her.
Luniac Style also featured me on her post about Sex and the City Items. People are so excited about this movie.
I am honored to be featured by these great ladies. Thank you so much

About This Blog

I am a stay at home mom with a little bit of a fabric habit. I like selling things on etsy to see if other people like the same things I make. I have two adorable kiddos and my husband is in medical school. So when the children go to bed and husband is still away studying, I use my lovely pfaff and bring myself to cut up the fabric I adore so much.
This blog helps motivate me to get things done.
